greenspan issue

I created the photo collages for this cover and feature article, which analyzed what new decisions Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan might make, and what the impact on the economy and world markets -- positive or negative -- might be as a result. I did an airbrush-type treatment on the cover, with mirrored green-for-positive and red-for-negative Greenspans. The interior collage used seven different images to show the many moods of the Chairman. I sorted through hundreds of photos in the Bloomberg News Photo Archives to find the right moods at the right angles, to achieve a serious-to-playful transition from left to right. I then had to silhouette each one and color-balance the skin tones to make them appear similar, since the photos had been shot by many different photographers at different times. I took a lot more time to research and assemble the final collage of images than one would imagine.
