PYXL8R "Live in Princeton" cd cover

If you've heard the term "happy accident," the design of this CD cover might fall under that definition. The background design is a scan of the cracked LCD screen of a digital camera that was broken during the documentation of this concert. As much as I was upset with destruction my camera, I was also fascinated by the patterns the cracks had created on the ruined screen. SO, I scanned the screen and selected a potion of it to use as the cover of this CD. The spacey theme of the music and the actual star-like pixels made it a perfect visual fit for the product, so the camera’s sacrifice in the name of art was not in vain!
