Bloomberg Personal infographics

Previous

Bloomberg Personal was a monthly Sunday business supplement that ran in many national newspapers in the mid-1990s. The center spread, called "The Big Picture," presented a graphic representation of a revelant issue each month. I worked with two writers, and had to interpret the subject, design the layout, and create infographics to illustrate the story. Here can be seen some of my early work using 3D rendering software (by pre-Hollywood Pixar), which - back in those days - could take quite some time to render each of the final images... a task that was much more daunting back then, requiring overnight - and sometimes over the weekend - processing on my then-speedy 33MHz* Mac Quadra 950!

*I had to look this up to be sure of the CPU speed. I'm astounded that we were able to produce magazines at all with these computers!
